​My name is Rick Christensen, an American traditional-minded Catholic concerned with the state of the Catholic Church and its role in the current state of the world.  In this site you will find articles, sermons, and other forms of writing that may enlighten you, may anger you, may inspire you, may educate you, or may even amuse you.  Most of my pieces will be fairly short, as I know from experience that long reads often don't hold the readers' interest.  Be aware also that I do not try to be all things to all people. 

I do not have easy answers to some of the issues that will be looked at, but if at the end of the day, dear reader, you find yourself asking maybe the right questions, then I have accomplished something. 

Oh, and Locutus? It is Latin and means "one who speaks."
